Our Story
Before Vilipets, we spent over a decade in the pet industry — behind the scenes. Making formulas. Testing materials. Running quality control. For other brands. Over a hundred products, give or take.
And over those years, we noticed something: Most pet products aren’t made for pets. They’re made for the people paying for them. Want it to smell stronger? Add fragrance. Want more foam? Load up on surfactants. Want cheaper? Swap the ingredients. None of that is illegal. And honestly, most pets won’t act sick right away. But here’s the thing — pets can’t talk.
They can’t tell you a smell gives them a headache. They can’t say their skin feels dry after a bath. They just quietly lick. Quietly itch. Quietly feel bad. We didn’t want to do that anymore.

Our product designer has three cats — one he rescued off a highway overpass. When he designs a toy, he doesn’t ask “will this sell?” He asks “will this cat play with it twice?”
Our Quality
Our quality control guy has a 7-year-old lab with bad hips. Before she signs off on any shampoo, he tests it on his own wrists for three days. She once rejected the same batch twice. The factory thought she was crazy. Sounds like a bit much? That’s literally how we work.

If we can leave something out, we do. If we can swap for something gentler, we do. One standard: If my own pet accidentally licks it, I don’t panic.
